You've heard the phrase: "You are what you eat."  If the phrase is true, then most pets are in grave danger.  Why?  Because most pets who are on typical store bought pet food are eating any combination of the following:  cancerous tissues, chemicals, unnecessary medications, diseased animals. . . the list goes on. 

Glance at the ingredient list of the food you feed your loved ones.  Below is a brief list of the "REAL" definitions of some of the ingredients you may have found.  Definitions are according to the AAFCO ( American Association of Feed control Officials) 

Poultry By-Product Meal:  This "meal" can include ground parts (including necks, feet, etc.) of slaughtered poultry.  This can include the use of ANY fowl: buzzards, grackles, etc.

Meat Meal/Meat and Bone Meal:  This ingredient can come from any MAMMAL tissues.  At least they are not allowed to ADD blood, hair, hoof, hide trimmings, manure, etc.  Only what occurs "unavoidably" can be present.  Further, these "Mammal" tissues can include recycled dogs, recycled cats, and ROAD KILL!  And, as if it could get worse, the pet food industry is allowed to use animals that are already DEAD, those that are DYING, DISEASED, or DISABLED. 

Animal Fat:  This can be the fat obtained from just about  ANY ANIMAL.  And, the type of animal does not have to be specified.
